By now, you've all got to be expecting it. Time marches on, and as Sunday morning arrives, you'll find yourself rising from your bed around 9. It starts off as a gentle suggestion, a feeling that you're going to be late for something. Aren't you going to be late for something?

Whether you answer that call or not, eventually, you'll find yourself walking directly down to the lobby, to a room that has so far been locked. All of you stand in front of a pair of golden doors, blocked off by a red velvet rope.

There's a moment of silence, and then a strange clattering noise. The doors fly open, and you'll find that you're standing in a darkened room where rows and rows of blue velvet seats lead up to a stage. The stage in front of you is covered with a pair of matching, rich blue velvet curtains, emblazoned with the logo of the Starlight Hotel.

Welcome, everyone, to the Starlight Theater.

You'll find yourself feeling like you must sit. You can choose your seat, but every seat in the house in the Starlight Theater guarantees a perfect view of the stage - there's no hiding. Should you try to merely stand, you'll find a pair of hands on your shoulders, and your body will move along without your permission into a seat. For those of you looking at your less cooperative friend, you might see the figure walking them to their seat is skeletal in nature, almost dancing behind them as they're ushered into their seat.

In fact... The empty seats in the theater are already filled. Skeletons sit in each empty seat, but make no mistake, audience: they clatter and move around, excited. Some of them are holding popcorn. Some of them look at you, then at the screen, eager. Others raise their arms to flag something, or someone - shadowy ushers burst from the floor and provide refreshments - and skeletons pour drinks down their nonexistent throats and stomachs, slurping at straws in a way that should be impossible.

Eventually, the bone clattering stops, and a hush falls over the crowd. Looking around, you might have noticed that one of your own didn't make it to the theater - Yoo Joonghyuk is not among you.

Perhaps he's backstage?

You don't get much time to think about it, though. The lights dim, and a pair of spotlights spin and arch across the curtains, as somewhere, a drumroll plays.

Lights, camera, action!

[as the curtains pull back, you're presented not with a live play, but with a screen. there's a soft click, a scratch noise, and then a whirring, as a light comes on and projects something.






the drumroll stops, and instead, a tune begins to play, crystal clear over the speakers. the title screen fades, and the only thing you can hear is music, as your silent film begins...]

[As you watch this movie play out before you, you find yourself captivated with what's going on before you. It's an action-packed movie, different than some of the ones before, but the longer you watch the more you begin to feel a little disconnected. Should you look at your limbs though, you'll notice they've begun to...fade? Every now and then, a finger, your leg, your entire face seems to fade and disappear from existence for a short moment before popping back in just as suddenly. Maybe it's just your imagination? Hm...]

[ unfortunately, shinobu is here. her hair is down, and her eyes are red and bloodshot.

if anyone looks closely enough, she looks a little furious, but her gaze is glued to the screen. ]

[ he's just going to reach for her hand without looking at her. ]

[ okay, well. hua cheng helps the still recovering diluc find a seat, in our nebulous seating chart every sunday, and when it becomes apparent that one of his water bottles is missing he is immediately livid. ]

Anyway, the scene opens to a pleasant-looking field full of white daisies and normal trees with normal birds singing. There's also Dimitri, who looks disoriented, while wearing a rather classic costume.

Despairing, ]

[ He's also got... a white rabbit in his arms? It's cute. He doesn't really have time to consider why, before he steps forward—



and straight into a giant, seemingly endless pit in the ground, the bright sky and happy flowers disappearing behind them in an instant. ]

Ah!!

[ Down the rabbit hole they go... ]

[ sebastian is here, looking completely exhausted and quietly drinking a bottle of water. it is definitely not hua cheng's. ]

[ashenvaliant]

[ he just bumps shoulders with her without looking away from the screen. ]

[wisterin]

[ she grabs hold of his hand immediately. her grip is probably going to be tight for the whole execution. ]

[ well... The bunny in Dimitri's arms?

That should be someone familiar, based on the fact the man cannot be found and that this rabbit somehow has very strong frowning energy. Joonghyuk is a white bunny, full out just a white bunny in a vest and waistcoat. In his little paw is a pocket watch which he holds tightly.

They descend and on this strange slow freefall, there are doors aplenty lining up the abyss. He doesn't care about that, instead: ]

Put me down.

[ DOWN WHERE ]

[ yuri just looks tired, and angry. there's not much else to say. ]

[ that's fine, when has he ever complained of that? ]

[wisterin]

[ she watches dimitri fall into the hole with a frown. ]

Even dying, he has to be like that.

[ stupid. she means stupid. ]

[shinetrue]

[ diluc is helped to his seat and upon realizing who is missing, he does not look happy. sits in seat angrily. canopus is also here! ]

[evocationary]

[she's here, curled up in her chair like a pillbug, watching with a quietly seething expression. executions suck.]

[shinetrue]

[ diluc puts a hand on his shoulder, briefly. ]

He’ll make this quick.

[overruns]

[ Can rabbits frown? Does this rabbit have the additional musculature in its face to frown? That's body horror.

Either way, it is certainly exuding a certain energy. ]

...Yoo Joonghyuk?

[ ... ]

I am not sure how you are supposed to kill me like this.

[ Also, they're falling, so there's? nowhere to put him down? you stupid fucking rabbit? ]

[He is here honestly looking like he wouldn’t mind getting put back in the grave actually.

He has a ballcap that he pulls down over the top of his face.]

At least both of them are being truly themselves in this moment.
