Good morning, esteemed guests. What a terrible day to be awake. Or perhaps it's not quite as terrible. The events of the day before were a bit extreme, but we hope you've had time to rest, regroup and refuel.

As you awaken on Monday, you’ll find that things are just as they were the night before. The kitchen will serve piping hot breakfast during the morning hours, the pool’s been stocked with fresh towels and the gardens are open for anyone who wishes to spend some time among nature. However, should you explore a bit, you’ll find that a few new changes have been made to the hotel itself.

Before you even leave your room, you will find two new items have been placed on your desk. Be sure to peruse the room service menus before you start your day!

The front door no longer spins endlessly, for one thing. Should you make an attempt to exit the hotel, you will find yourself entering a new location. Some of you may even find this place familiar.

In addition, should you enter the elevator you will find a new button appears, proudly reading 01. Pushing this button will take you to a new floor where you will also find a few new areas to peruse. Explore to your heart’s content, get to know more of the hotel, and take your time in learning more about each other.

There are several things that one may keep close to the chest. Secrets, thoughts, and most importantly emotions. In a situation such as this where the stakes are high and the questions are piling up, you may find yourself trying to conceal everything and hold back your feelings. However, that isn't the Starlight way. This week, you will find yourself a bit uncomfortable, almost as if there's something deeply lodged in your chest. Drinking doesn't help, and clearing your throat hardly works either. Before you know it, you find yourself coughing up a handful of flowers. The type of flowers may vary but they come in different shades, all representing your hidden feelings. Inconvenient, isn't it? You may wish to carry a bag around this week to collect your stray emotions before someone slips.

Finally, for those of you with a spare ticket in your pocket, feel free to visit the Starlight Gift Shop, stocked with new items for this week.

On Friday morning, you awaken to the loud sounds of a typewriter tapping away at a message, and a shrill ding! as a line completes.

Strangely, there's no printout on your typewriter, if you're near one. Instead, when you open your eyes, there's a folded piece of paper on your chest that looks a little something like this.

I. costume closet

[ considering hua cheng wasn't allowed to change out of uniform any during chasma, he finds this particular addition rather curious.

it's probably tanhua that you spot, first, sitting in the doorway but not taking up the whole space. his tails all flick when he hears someone coming, and he glances back with his right eye closed, before looking forward again and letting out a raspy yap.

his person's head leans back out of a row of... red clothhes. so much fucking red. gotta admire the dedication to his aesthetic. ] Interesting variety they have in here.

[ alternatively, he's just browsing - and makes a stank face at something that looks like its excess of fabric is made of a night sky. ]

II. aurora barealis

[ you'd be forgiven for missing where hua cheng is, here, too, at first. but his black boots and the silver chains and charms on it can be seen on the very edge of one of the nook tables, ankles crossed as he sits back in the cushions with a drink.

where's his daemon this time? the dog-sized fox is sniffing the piano as it plays notes. he reaches up with a mud colored paw to press down a key, before snatching it back again after. ]

[ he sort of stands out like a sore thumb no matter which location you want to explore with him, arms crossed as he squints like he's cat no banana. ]

[ up on floor 01, hope is not swayed by the more colorful attractions now available to the hotel guests! instead, what piques his interest is the singular locked door innocuously sitting toward the back of the hall, which he regards with cautious curiosity. after trying to turn the doorknob a few times, he turns to whoever else may come up and ask, ]

Do you think it'll unlock on its own later in the week, or is it something we have to try opening ourselves a little more proactively?

[ another week, another round of murdergame carousel. the revolving doors initially dump him in the central node, and from there, he starts to wander around the various areas available to them. for the most part, he keeps his attention reserved, merely acting as a passive observer since he knows they won't be able to take anything back to the hotel...

until he ends up in the dark backalley and sees the mural plastered across the wall. from the messages and objects left under the graffiti, it doesn't take him long to deduce that these are memorials... he mostly nods respectfully as he looks over each one, until he gets to the writing under the pinkish orange crystal, whereupon his eyes go wide. ]

[ Now Bucky is on the moon. He's just walking around casually, looking around at everything. He gives the moon bunnies a raised eyebrow, but otherwise ignores them in favor of...kicking moon dust around? Drawing patterns in the sand with his foot. They are absolutely incomprehensible. ]

Wasn't expecting this place to give me a "Day as the Boss", but anything's possible out here, I guess.

[ oh god. It's happening. Bucky is sitting in the petting zoo absolutely surrounded, almost drowning, in precious neon animals. There is a baby goat in his lap. Little chicks line his shoulders and roost on his head. Ducks and rabbits are nestled at his side and intertwined through his legs. He's trapped, and he looks absolutely at a loss for what to do now.

Hesitantly, like he's afraid of them, he reaches a hand out to slowly, gently pat a duck on the head. He looks like he's waiting for signs that it will attack him. ]

hua cheng shifts his weight as he reaches in, mostly because it's - genuinely, a lot of fabric to finagle out even with the sturdiest of hangers. especially since it's double layers. ]

Consider it my previous "work uniform." Of course it would be in here - may as well be a costume all on its own.
