WEEK FIVE: TRIAL

W̴͍̎E̴̝̊E̸͚͝K̸͕̿ FIVE: TRIAL
Rise and shine; you know how Saturdays go. Even if you'd rather sleep in, you'll find yourself waking up and getting out of bed. Once you're out of your room, a door appears down the hallway, compelling you to walk towards it. Upon entering, you'll discover a room that's familiar if you've gone exploring this week or possibly from even before then:
EMPORIUM (THE REALM)
The exterior of the building is welcoming, with windows lined with various eye-catching trinkets, ranging from stuffed animals to t-shirts. After stepping inside, the very first thing that will greet guests is a statue made out of L*gos. Yes, the black bar is somehow there.
The interior is filled with row upon row of shelves filled with different items. There is a collection of stuffed animals, ranging in size from small enough to hide in your pocket to some as big as a toddler. There's a wide range of other toys as well, like dolls, L*gos, puzzles, and more. Different display cases show off pins, lanyards, keychains, sunglasses, jewelry, and other accessories. Participants may even find one of those keychains with their name on it...?
If you consider it a typical souvenir item, it's here. Cups, shot glasses, pens, t-shirts, hats... Everything is stacked neatly, proudly displaying the silhouette of a castle. There are also now items featuring tigers, rabbits, goats, swans, wolves, and foxes. However, there is no one at the cash register, so it seems like participants can't purchase anything.
There are a few tables in here behind room dividers. One is labeled 'Evidence' while the rest are covered in white sheets. Elsewhere in the room is a table with pencils and slips of paper for voting.
Welcome to your sixth trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the murders. Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST to 5pm EST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes 9pm EST. Voting is mandatory in this game.
Good luck!

Looking back at the counter. Is the broken glass up here the same as what's on the floor, or are there any differences? What's the liquid that's spilling from the counter to the ground? Also, anything else on the ground, where that liquid is dripping down to?]

the glass here looks similar to what's on the floor. it's hard to tell what the liquid is by sight alone, since it's on the dark wood of the bar counter.
just to confirm - is estelle still behind the bar, with the sink, or has she gone around out to the front of the bar where the liquid is dripping?
the piano strings are in their proper positions. however... one of them is discolored! exactly what is discoloring it is something that may need to be investigated in more detail at trial. he can play a scale, but it does sound a little off at just one of the notes (don't ask me which one i don't know shit about music).]

She will go out from behind the counter and around to examine the dripping liquid and the floor where it's dripping to...
Also, does it have any clear source? Like a bottle on top of the counter, or a larger puddle of the same liquid? How much of it is there? Can she lean in and smell it...? Without touching more mystery liquid?]
no subject
There's something weird with one of these...
[ hmm. he will get this discolored piano string out of here and take it with him! after that he'll close the piano and give it a quick look on all sides to make sure he's not missing some external damage.
if he doesn't see anything, he'll check the piano bench too. is one of the ones that opens? is there anything in it if it is? under it? ]
no subject
enjoy your piano wire, sebastian! be careful with it. there doesn't seem to be anything else of note on the piano itself, or on the piano bench. it opens up, but there's nothing in it or under it.]
no subject
Aaand let's take a look behind the counter, too. Anything out of place on the floor here, in the drink-preparing... area?, or any inner shelves of the counter, I think that's usually a thing for bar counters?]
no subject
he'll check out the stage area where cloud got his ass kicked before... how does it look over here today? was there a struggle in this part of the room again or was it saved this time? ]
no subject
behind the counter, it's a little less messy; however, there are some small purple flower petals on the ground.
as for sebastian... a curtain near this area has been pulled down! good thing cloud didn't come on this investigation. his trauma. the stage area does seem to have been part of the struggle, though; the vintage microphone is on the ground rather than standing upright, ready to be sung into, and there is a general mess in this part of the room too.]
no subject
Anything else alongside them? Or more flower petals to be seen around here?
Also, anything up with the seating by this counter? There was toppled furniture in the bar; she'll take a look at it now. What's all been flipped around here? Any distinct stains or damage on this furniture? Anything around or underneath it?]
no subject
what's the general mess over here look like, is it just things knocked over or is there damage to the stage/furniture/etc. from a weapon or something? any blood or other markings, dirt, whatever? ]
no subject
the seating is just bar seating! some of the seats are overturned, some are not. there's no particular rhyme or reason to what got flipped; it's just haphazardly overturned. there isn't anything super distinct, though there's splatters of blood around that may or may not have gotten onto the furniture in the struggle in a way that isn't particularly relevant. there is some damage to the furniture, but it seems the type that would naturally come from getting knocked around. there isn't anything around or underneath it.
the curtain rod is not down! the general mess is things knocked over like the vintage microphone. there is some damage to the stage, but its sources seem fairly obvious - dents or scratches on the ground right under knocked-over things, for example. there's some splattered blood on the ground, but it's haphazard in a way that sort of just indicates someone bled here. no other markings or dirt.]
no subject
[Checking other places! The walls, sconces, the ceiling? The cushioned seating in those nooks?]
no subject
[ ok he will pick up the microphone and look it over, along with the stand and its cord. is there anything noteworthy about it that would make him think he should bring it back...
and he'll just kind of look around under the knocked over things and seats and whatever to make sure something didn't get dropped and slide under anything. ]
no subject
there is a similar sort of discoloration as he saw on the piano wire on the microphone itself! it also has a little bit of damage on it. specifics would need to be examined not on the investigation. there isn't anything of note under the knocked over things and seats.]
no subject
Is there anything we haven't checked...?
no subject
I don't... I don't think so? You checked for missing bottles and stuff?
no subject
sebastian has the microphone now.
virgo looks over at the two of them when they start talking about whether or not they've checked everything.]
...if you want to go back, I'll take you back.
[the portal opens up! they can go through it whenever they've decided they're done.]
no subject
She'll take one of those intact glasses just in case they need to compare it to glass shards later.
... and that's probably it?]
no subject
Um... okay, I... guess we can go. We can probably come back later if we think of something we might have missed...
no subject
away they go!]
