Rise and shine; you know how Saturdays go. Even if you'd rather sleep in, you'll find yourself waking up and getting out of bed. Once you're out of your room, a door appears down the hallway, compelling you to walk towards it. Upon entering, you'll discover a room that's familiar if you've gone exploring this week or possibly from even before then:

MAIN MEETING HALL (VILLAGE)
Should anyone venture inside, they'll find a number of long benches set up against the walls. At the head of the building are two chairs, a sun and a moon carved into the back of each. The area in the center is wide open, allowing plenty of space to move around and while decor is lacking, hanging from the walls are several blank scrolls. There's also a large (blank) scroll above the two chairs in the back.

There are a few tables in here behind room dividers. One is labeled 'Evidence' while the rest are covered in white sheets. Elsewhere in the room is a table with pencils and slips of paper for voting.

Welcome to your seventh trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the murders. Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST to 5pm EST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes 9pm EST. Voting is mandatory in this game.

Had a phone call. It wasn't a long one -- a surprised intake of breath and a loud snapping sound and a thud. Then silence.

[Rin, normally confident, actually sounds a little shaken and unsure today.]

I, uh. I got a phone call Thursday night, in the ballroom.

As soon as I picked up the phone I heard a quick...crunch, I guess? And then a, er...I guess 'slippery squelch' is the best way to describe it. And then a thud after that, like something hit the ground. After that, it was completely silent. Not even a dial tone or anything.

And then I just fell back asleep.

[ slippery squelch... bad.

hua cheng reaches and briefly runs his hand over the top of rin's head. ]

We'll see what happened to them and figure out who the call was for.

It sounds like there were two calls again, so it's just matching up which one to which one.

Housekeeping hit my room. Cleaned up everything, made my bed, left a mint. They took a copy of a library book I had. Flowers in the Mirror. It's a Chinese fantasy novel.

Estelle did as well. Which is a bit odd; it's been only one for a little while now.

Had a dream it was hailing, thankfully I had an umbrella, however the other person there was not as lucky to have one. I went to leave them be, but found myself suddenly frozen in place. It was then I remembered the other was a magician, that I was meant to help them carry out a magic trick... So I climbed into a box and prepared to be cut in half. There was sudden pain and then everything went black. That's where the dream ended.

Hmm... We experienced the same dream in the 'McBucks'.

[he still says it like he's not sure if he's pronouncing it right]

Um... someone took the vase of dried flowers I had in my room? And kind of straightened up a little, I guess... and did the mint thing.

There was a book missing. It's not really important, but I was kind of using it...
