Rise and shine; you know how Saturdays go. Even if you'd rather sleep in, you'll find yourself waking up and getting out of bed. Once you're out of your room, a door appears down the hallway, compelling you to walk towards it. Upon entering, you'll discover a room that's familiar if you've gone exploring this week or possibly from even before then:

MAIN MEETING HALL (VILLAGE)
Should anyone venture inside, they'll find a number of long benches set up against the walls. At the head of the building are two chairs, a sun and a moon carved into the back of each. The area in the center is wide open, allowing plenty of space to move around and while decor is lacking, hanging from the walls are several blank scrolls. There's also a large (blank) scroll above the two chairs in the back.

There are a few tables in here behind room dividers. One is labeled 'Evidence' while the rest are covered in white sheets. Elsewhere in the room is a table with pencils and slips of paper for voting.

Welcome to your seventh trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the murders. Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST to 5pm EST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes 9pm EST. Voting is mandatory in this game.

[ SIGH OF RELIEF EVEN THOUGH EVERYTHING IS STILL OMINOUS AND BAD at least it's less stressful when they're not getting flooded by death ice cream ]

So we have a broken machine. Slash mark, quite long.

[ ... can he clamber up on the counter and try to force the top open to see the area where the ice cream would be? partially because holy crap how much ice cream does this thing hold, and obviously because the pink in the pink ice cream had to come from somewhere in the machine... right? :( ]

[I'm making the executive decision that ice cream machines are not large enough to hold a corpse unless we're talking about Pikachu here. Sure, Yuri can open it up, but there's nothing inside that suggest that it'd be causing pink. In fact, all of the new ice cream that it'd been chugging out pre-pulling the plug was white!

There are no lumps on the floor besides more of the candy toppings, but the pink does seem to intensify in the area where the Happy Meal boxes rest on a counter.]

[ oh is the ice cream safe... i'm gonna go get a mcflurry after this tag then

but okay i guess we're checking out this UNHAPPY MEAL then... he will... very anxiously nudge some of the boxes with his baton to try to identify the source of The Pink ]

I-I think it's actually, um... coming from over here, maybe...?

[ he'll hop down off the counter. and then he'll help nudge some of these unhappy meal boxes around with sebastian. carefully and gingerly though. ]

[I should clarify that, like, the pink swirly isn't growing or anything. It's more like in various areas on the floor, and by now, it's been overshadowed by all the white.

Anyhow, Sebastian and Yuri can nudge the boxes away, albeit with some difficulty. Careful, though—the boxes also have the red and yellow streaks on them.

From under one box now that they've nudged it an inch or so away, they will see red peeking from the center of the napkin underneath.]

[ nudges the napkin to see what's under there... ]

[Yuri can continue to nudge the closed box with some difficulty, and Sebastian can nudge the napkin, but there is nothing underneath]

[ god was i supposed to ask what the red on the napkin was instead of looking under it, SORRY FOR MY POOR DRIVE THRU INVESTIGATION SKILLS

what is the red on the napkin, is it blood? does it look like any of the boxes are leaking blood?? ]

M-maybe we should... look inside that box...?

[ since it seems to be WEIRDLY HEAVY according to this text ]

[ yuri sighs, and will pick up the box. carefully. ]

[The red on the napkin looks like... blood? Maybe? It doesn't look quite right—it almost has the appearance of words, but unreadable.

Yuri picks up the box! It feels oddly heavy, and while nothing's outright leaking, he'll feel a slight wetness on his hands.]

[ i also sigh

sebastian doesn't know what the heck is going on with the word blood napkin but he'll... pick it up carefully to take with them... and watch yuri with this box ]

[ gross. his hand is wet. well. let's open this box.

carefully. and keeping his head at a distance. ]

[Well.

Inside the box, they'll see... a mop of black? The black is attached to the top of a circular object with very aesthetically pleasing features on the front.









Which is to say that Yuri might be keeping his own head at a distance, but he and Sebastian sure are staring at Joonghyuk's decapitated head in this box.]

[ SCREAMS AND JUMPS BACK AND SLIPS IN THE ICE CREAM ]

yuri just closes his eyes for a very, very long moment. and then he'll put the head box down to grab a couple more boxes to put this box in. ]

Lepus, my hands are full and I think if I ask Sebastian to carry a head he'll pass out. Can you take the napkins, please?

[ his chocolate crumb napkins.

he'll put the headbox in a box. and then he'll put that box in another box. and then he'll mail that box to himself and SMASH IT WITH A HAMMER. no. but god it's tempting. ]

Where's the rest of you, Joonghyuk?

I'll send the head back for the others to look over, so you don't need to worry about that.

[Which is to say, Joonghyuk's head will be disappearing in a swirl of shadows! Goodbye, Joonghyuk... It will show up for body check once y'all are back.]

[ standing back up covered in ice cream and poking at a few more boxes just in case, nothing else feels heavy?

The slash suggests there was a fight here, but someone left his head and took his body somewhere else?

[All of the other boxes are empty, as is the surrounding area.]

What the heck... ugh.

[ and just to be clear, it's just the one napkin with the blood letters? there's nothing weird like that on any of the other boxes or the counter or any napkins or anything? ]

Well... Maybe someone has found the rest somewhere else by now...
