Good morning, esteemed guests. Did you sleep well? We hope you found your accommodations suitable. It did take some time to get your rooms ready, after all.

As you awaken on Monday, you’ll find that things are just as they were the night before. The kitchen will serve piping hot breakfast during the morning hours, the pool’s been stocked with fresh towels and the gardens are open for anyone who wishes to spend some time among nature. However, should you explore a bit, you’ll find that a few new changes have been made to the hotel itself.

The front door no longer spins endlessly, for one thing. Should you make an attempt to exit the hotel, you will find yourself entering a new location. Some of you may even find this place familiar.

In addition, should you enter the elevator you will find a new button appears, proudly reading 00. Pushing this button will take you to a new floor where you will also find a few new areas to peruse. Explore to your heart’s content, get to know more of the hotel, and take your time in learning more about each other.

…speaking of…you may find yourself learning more about some people than others. For the duration of this week, you will find yourself with a connection to your suitemate that cannot be severed. You will be able to feel certain pains and emotions that they feel throughout the week. Nothing brutal, mostly those pesky, annoying feelings you don’t want to share with people. Are you feeling a little embarrassed someone complimented you? Your partner will feel this embarrassment. Got a nasty little papercut from misbehaving? Your partner will feel that, too. And if you don't have a suitemate? Don't worry. You'll find yourself attached to the suitemates right next door to you. Try not to drive each other too insane, hm?

Oh, and we would like to mention…housekeeping came by and has provided everyone with one (1) travel-sized toothbrush and toothpaste. Clean your mouths, stinky guests.

You're right. I have no idea what kind of energy mako is. It doesn't sound good, if you're trying to get rid of them.

Oh, are they that pervasive?

Lifeblood of the planet. It's about the only source of power that's used everywhere.

They use it to make weapons, too.

No wonder no one's won against them if they're the ones who manufacture and refine it.

It sounds like you're in a lot of danger.

Besides, they haven't gotten us yet.

I'm relieved to hear you're still safe from Shinra but less so about you in danger from something worse than the company that has control over what powers your planet.

This is our first conversation, so I won't pry, but I hope you remain all right.

Don't worry about it. Either we make it or we don't. But there's no turning back for us now. Had our shot in refusing, so the only way for us now is to keep going forward. No getting off this train and all that.

Is it coincidence that so many of us are on trains that we can't get off of? Or is it that places like this somehow know?

...I think the place knows. No point taking people who don't have anything to want to go back to in these scenarios.

No "entertainment" in that.

Contract or no contract, they can still shove their notion of entertainment down their throat.

I can get behind that sentiment.

Maybe we can find the loophole out of that contract soon enough.

Do you think we'll get to remember or see the contents of the contract in time?

Depends how much of that contract is real, I think. Far as I know, signing things off in a dream under coercion isn't exactly normal legal binding stuff.

Might take a while to get the bigger picture.

It always takes a while.

I don't know how much they care about normal or legal if the hostages are real.

They definitely don't care. But they'll pretend for a bit. Wouldn't have had the contract thing if they weren't going to.

It makes me a little tired. They don't need a contract, real or imaginary, when we've all done this before.

They don't. But it's always about selling some kind of idea, isn't it?
