WEEK SEVEN: FAREWELL

FAREWELL
(0 ḡ̴̻u̷͌͜ê̴̯s̶̢͑t̵̻͝s̴̡̐ ̴c̴h̴e̶c̴k̷e̶d̸ ̶i̴n̴)
As Sunday morning arrives…you may find yourself actually sleeping in? For the first time in several weeks, you do not find yourself awakening at 9am. You don’t have that slight nagging feeling that you’re going to be late. You don’t feel pressed to rush out the door and go somewhere.
The restaurant is currently serving a piping hot breakfast, and your luggage is packed nice and neatly. Somewhere outside, it’s almost like you can hear the pleasant chirping of birds.
And then…the hotel begins to rumble. It’s the same ominous, quaking movement, building swaying from side to side before the front door of the lobby suddenly bursts open. Your stay at the hotel is over, dear guests. But perhaps you ought to venture outside and see what’s new.
Along the grounds of the hotel are several portals that have been opened, dark swirling shadows that remain for you to venture through once you’re ready to depart. However, these portals work in two directions. While you have the understanding that stepping through one of these portals will send you wherever you’d like, you may notice there are people starting to exit through them.
Your hostages are safe. They are delivered one by one, unharmed and returned to you for you to bring them back where they belong. The original staff also appears to finally be released...do be careful with them.
But that’s not all. Every now and then the portal will flicker and someone new and unexpected will exit. Your friends from home may step through these portals. You may recognize some of these as people that you’ve met in your previous murder adventures, too. All of them seem to be in possession of a flyer that reads:
Congratulations! You’ve won an all-expenses paid visit to the Starlight Hotel. Check-in begins at 3. Please sign on the dotted line upon arrival.
You may want to warn them, actually.
You don’t have to be a guest of the hotel to enjoy its fine amenities one last time. All of the floors have been opened once again, and every room is accessible except for your previous bedrooms. You will also find that you’ve been unnerfed, powers you once possessed returning to you and back where they belong.
Everything is peaceful…until you hear the sound of the Nightman.
H̸o̷w̴ ̴c̸o̷u̸l̵d̸ ̵y̸o̴u̸ ̸n̵o̶t̶ ̸f̶i̷n̵d̷ ̴a̴ ̴l̷o̶o̵p̴h̴o̶l̴e̵?̷ ̸N̷o̴w̵ ̵t̴h̷e̴y̷'̴r̵e̶ ̸a̶l̷l̸ ̷f̶r̵e̸e̵!̵
Hm…too bad. It seems as though the proprietor of this hotel is unhappy with circumstances. But regardless of where you look, you wouldn’t be able to find him. Seems like he’s gone off to try and restructure his business model.
As a parting gift from the Starlight Hotel, you will find that your typewriters are now pocket-sized palm pilot models. You do want to stay in touch, don’t you? It’s been several long weeks for all of you…
…you can check out anytime you want, but you can finally leave.

Happy Golden End, friends! You may use this post to thread out your final day at the hotel. You can thread with your hostages if you'd like. In addition this post is open to past gamemates or canonmates. You are free to bring characters from previous games or their canonmates to play off of each other.
As the post states, everyone's powers are back and you have universal texting. Fun! Characters will be able to return to their own worlds or depart for another world of their choosing whenever they'd like to leave.
Should you have any questions about their current condition, or simply questions about endgame mechanics in general, please feel free to ask us. Have fun!

[she hugs him. why are little brothers like this.]

We have a few days once we get back. That should be enough time to figure out something.
no subject
I'll do what I can to help make sure you're prepared.
[this is said in a very you're not going to be able to talk me out of this so don't even try kind of tone.]
no subject
You're not in the middle of something yourself, are you?
no subject
What better way to do that than to stick close to you for a few days to make sure this whole situation is really over?
[that's not actually her motivation for it, but it's going to be her justification if she's asked.]
no subject
I can't really argue with that reasoning. Lady Artemis would want you to be thorough in the first place, not to mention Camp. Three days should work, right? It may take longer.
[let reyna stay!!
he does not ask about who she teamed up with because he can guess and he's still probably hiding from will at the time of this thread it's fine.]
no subject
Longer than that is fine. [mock-primly:] I must be thorough, after all.
no subject
no subject
Exactly. See, you get it.
no subject
my icons are out, so you get the same ones repeatedly.]
As long as you can explain it to everyone else, then there shouldn't be a problem. [that being said...] We should...maybe consider finding your Camp contact and leaving soon.
no subject
That's probably a good idea... [she whistles. aurum and argentum stand at attention.] Go find him.
[off they go!
i am still not threading with myself so the dogs run off to find will who is idk elsewhere.]
no subject
Have you...spoken with him since you both left to come here?
[is he in trouble.]
no subject
We talked a little. I like him more than I like his father.
[which, to be fair, that bar is in the dirt.]
no subject
I have a feeling you aren't the only one who has that opinion. But you're right, he's slightly easier to manage than Apollo.
[nico please be nice.]
no subject
[hmm.]
...he treats you well?
no subject
[and because it's reyna, he figures maybe this will help.]
He's less selfish than his dad. [even if there's a slight ease in his tone regarding apollo now. his opinion about the god may have changed just a little.] He takes care of both of us.
no subject
[she whistles. aurum and argentum come bounding back.]
Fetch him gently.
[they run off again in search of will. apparently they were not going to be gentle before...?]
...good. It sounds like he's good for you, then.
no subject
off they go. to that, though, nico bows his head in a bit of embarrassment.]
I think so. I hope so. Despite everything, things have been better with him around. [a pause.] He makes sure I'm not alone for too long.
[hence will being dragged to tartarus.]
no subject
she smiles.]
He seems like the kind of guy I can trust to have your back.
no subject
He has. Always. [...] When we got back to Camp Half-Blood during the final battle with Gaea, we were fighting together. He's seen a lot of my worst capabilities, but he wanted to be friends anyway.
[and somehow?? decided to date the creepy goth kid?? still lost on that part, but he's accepted it and is happy about it.]
no subject
reyna, whose closest contact with apollo prior to laughing in his face and turning him down flat a few months ago had been with octavian as a proxy (so, not really the best example...), thinks to herself that will is decidedly less shallow than she would have expected one of apollo's kids to be.
good for him.]
He must have a good eye for people, then.
no subject
I think that's something you two have in common in any case. [he's...aware, now, that he's a little lucky to have certain people around him.] I'm pretty sure he'd be really happy to hear even more about you.
no subject
[while it might be cute to read a fic about will getting to know his "in-laws," that is not going to happen in this thread, because i am not threading with myself.]
Don't go telling him any weird stories about me, now.
no subject
[suffer, will ♥ it's teasing but also it's a little funny.]
no subject
it's very funny. reyna cracks up.]
