As Sunday morning arrives…you may find yourself actually sleeping in? For the first time in several weeks, you do not find yourself awakening at 9am. You don’t have that slight nagging feeling that you’re going to be late. You don’t feel pressed to rush out the door and go somewhere.

The restaurant is currently serving a piping hot breakfast, and your luggage is packed nice and neatly. Somewhere outside, it’s almost like you can hear the pleasant chirping of birds.

And then…the hotel begins to rumble. It’s the same ominous, quaking movement, building swaying from side to side before the front door of the lobby suddenly bursts open. Your stay at the hotel is over, dear guests. But perhaps you ought to venture outside and see what’s new.

Along the grounds of the hotel are several portals that have been opened, dark swirling shadows that remain for you to venture through once you’re ready to depart. However, these portals work in two directions. While you have the understanding that stepping through one of these portals will send you wherever you’d like, you may notice there are people starting to exit through them.

Your hostages are safe. They are delivered one by one, unharmed and returned to you for you to bring them back where they belong. The original staff also appears to finally be released...do be careful with them.

But that’s not all. Every now and then the portal will flicker and someone new and unexpected will exit. Your friends from home may step through these portals. You may recognize some of these as people that you’ve met in your previous murder adventures, too. All of them seem to be in possession of a flyer that reads:

Congratulations! You’ve won an all-expenses paid visit to the Starlight Hotel. Check-in begins at 3. Please sign on the dotted line upon arrival.

You may want to warn them, actually.

You don’t have to be a guest of the hotel to enjoy its fine amenities one last time. All of the floors have been opened once again, and every room is accessible except for your previous bedrooms. You will also find that you’ve been unnerfed, powers you once possessed returning to you and back where they belong.

Everything is peaceful…until you hear the sound of the Nightman.

Hm…too bad. It seems as though the proprietor of this hotel is unhappy with circumstances. But regardless of where you look, you wouldn’t be able to find him. Seems like he’s gone off to try and restructure his business model.

As a parting gift from the Starlight Hotel, you will find that your typewriters are now pocket-sized palm pilot models. You do want to stay in touch, don’t you? It’s been several long weeks for all of you…

…you can check out anytime you want, but you can finally leave.

Happy Golden End, friends! You may use this post to thread out your final day at the hotel. You can thread with your hostages if you'd like. In addition this post is open to past gamemates or canonmates. You are free to bring characters from previous games or their canonmates to play off of each other.

As the post states, everyone's powers are back and you have universal texting. Fun! Characters will be able to return to their own worlds or depart for another world of their choosing whenever they'd like to leave.

[i'm not threading with myself but there's another person who looks like they're here with a Purpose rather than on a vacation. she showed up with will, she's got a crumpled-up flyer in one hand and a weapon in the other, and there's a solid silver greyhound walking beside her.]

[the dog gives a bark and runs off. reyna surveys the hotel like she's contemplating how best to burn it down.]

after a few moments, there's an answering bark! and aurum immediately runs back, racing alongside aregentum as the two dogs begin to sniff things out.

reyna's little brother is currently nowhere to be found because if he thinks will's going to be mad, reyna's going to be furious.]

[Sieghart, whose left arm grew back the instant his powers returned, dashes over to the nearest person in a hurry.]

[Regardless of whether the person is shorter or taller, he ducks behind them while a teenaged girl wanders over. In a quiet voice, she can be seen asking around, "Didn't Sieghart just pass by? I'd like to study him while the effects of the hotel's seal may be lingering."]

[ Claude is definitely heading toward Manwol to give her a hug but he's beat by a wholeass wyvern descending from the sky and pulling Manwol under her wing.

[ in a flurry of silvery white light, he releases butterflies off into the hotel, their edges strangely sharp to the eye. what're they doing? don't worry about it.

also, he also has a... lantern? with a green glow coming from it? where the hell did he get that? don't worry about it. tanhua is standing - now something closer to 100 lbs and the size of a wolf instead of a golden retriever - with it in his mouth by the handle, giving it the occasional shake like a dog with a toy. the nine tailed fox seems at once both pleased and annoyed by his current possession. ]

Niah is at least large, almost as tall as a person, and is silent and less judgmental as he seems relieved this is all over. ]

[Oh look, it's another recently-freed hostage! He seems a little groggy, like he's been asleep for some time, but he's also managed to grab a flyer from somewhere and is looking it over.]

An all-expenses paid trip, hmm? I wonder what this hotel is like. A vacation certainly sounds nice.

[ he just snatches the flyer from his hands, rips it up and then stalks off away from him ]

[One moment Rin is standing there, Rinkou riding on his shoulder as she has been for eight weeks now.

Then next moment there is a sudden 'fwoom' sound as Rinkou abruptly goes from 1 foot long and 8 pounds to about 3 feet long and over 40 pounds and suddenly much too large to sit on his shoulder. Rinkou whines as she scrambles to find a way to hold onto Rin, and Rin seems more bothered by the sharp claws than by the added weight.]

Gah! Just get down then, you big baby!

[Unlike before, there is a sign of intelligence in Rinkou's eyes, and she actually listens to Rin and slides down to the ground. Anyone who comes close will be regarded closely, but she avoids being in touching range of anyone now.]

she does not run or try to pounce anyone for attention like the needy baby she has been the past two months alas, mostly chills and observes. though that could depend on who approaches them too. ]
